In 1997/98 a flying test bed for a major Canadian jet engine manufacturer was made. It took approximately 12 months solid work to modify the engines and air frame of a Boeing 720 to carry a new series of under development engine.

1 What was the engine being developed and how much thrust does it produce in relation to the aircrafts original engines?

2 What aircraft was the engine being developed for?

3 when the aircraft was originally built in the 60’s what did her original owners call her.

4 For the added bonus points what is currently the record holder for the most powerful Turbofan engine and how much thrust is it presently capable of producing. They say it can do even more!
